Resources and technology

Our school uses modern technology and digital learning tools. Our resources help students learn, create and stay connected. As a NSW public school, we have access to shared programs and tools available to all schools in the state.

We are dedicated to fostering innovative and engaging learning experiences through the use of cutting-edge digital tools and resources. Our commitment to quality teaching and learning is supported by a range of interactive technologies, including iPads, LEGO Spike, MakeyMakey, Micro:bit, Blue-Bots, and Spheros. These tools provide students with hands-on opportunities to develop critical skills in coding, robotics, creativity, and problem-solving. By integrating these technologies into our programs, we empower our learners to explore, create, and collaborate, preparing them for a dynamic digital future.

Dedicated STEM room

ScratchJr - students snap together graphical programming blocks to make characters move, jump, and sing, and can also create new characters, add sounds, and change backgrounds. The app is designed to be developmentally appropriate for its age group, making coding concepts accessible without requiring reading or advanced math skills.

Lego spike is essentially manipulative Lego. Students can build a variety of contraptions, then electronic components can be added to them and programs can be operated, either pre-set ones or ones designed by students.

The micro:bit is a pocket-sized computer designed to inspire creative thinking in children. It can be programmed in many different ways and has multiple uses. Through the micro:bit, children are encouraged to explore ideas using real code.

Blue-bot robots - great for both younger and older students as they can be programmed via the app or via tactile buttons on the robots.
